Why Sammy 16?
As a nation we do a pretty good job keeping the disenfranchised fed, housed and clothed. Sammy 16 answers the question, “what can we do to feed their soul?” Science now backs up what we have known for many years regarding the profound and undeniable effect of music on our mind, spirit, and memory. Sammy 16 is an excellent go-to resource that utilizes music to comfort, refresh, motivate and inspire

Testimonials
“Ever since your band has started coming to our prison I have seen a spike in the attendance every time they show. This last time you showed the Chapel doors were bursting there were so many people that attended. What a wonderful thing to see. It's not very often that the chapel fills up over its capacity. I know for me when you come I don’t even feel like I’m in prison, for that short 2 hour time I feel at total peace, and feel free as a bird. May God bless all of you this Holiday Season.” NH State Prison Prisoner
“I haven’t missed one performance in the few years I’ve been here, and each time I marvel at your skill and also enjoy the informal talks as well - A+ for the evening! With God’s help may you continue to bring joy to your audiences - and if I’m granted another season I’ll see you again!” Eve A. Tobin
“We enjoyed your performance at Woodcrest today. It's so great to hear live music from a true professional.” Bill and Sonja Hannah
“Your concert was so beautiful and relaxing. What a wonderful instrument, so artistically played. Your generous spirit warmed our hearts and added richly to our time together. Music can only make our world more peaceful. Thank you for coming to us and please return soon. Love" Residents at WHC

"I’ve always appreciated Rich’s expertise as a musician, he is excellent at the keyboard and vibes. He artfully arranges the musical pieces to flow together to create a wonderful listening experience. He also has a wonderful way of relating to people, especially the elderly. He is always a favorite among the residents. Rich is a person who really cares for the elderly and this caring comes through in his performances...
You will provide a wonderful experience for your residents if you have him perform for them..."

"I wish to thank you for entertaining the residents. The veterans enjoyed listening to your concert and appreciated your time and talent..."

About Our Founder
Sammy 16 founder Rich Araldi has been a performing musician for over 50 years. He performs on vibraphone, piano, and drums.
Rich performs over 400 programs a year in retirement communities, libraries, community events, house concerts, and with his band. Rich's career has not only allowed him to do what his Creator has gifted him for, but it has also given him the opportunity to perform for senators, congressmen, the mayor of Nashua NH’s inaugural ball, and even for someone who would become President of the United States!
However, at his core, Rich is much more interested in playing for regular folks, and especially for those often forgotten or overlooked. Consequently, over the years and to this day, Rich can be found performing in group homes, soup kitchens, on the streets of Boston’s legendary inner city “combat zone”, to Jamaica, Cancun Mexico, and New Hampshire’s state prisons.
Rich is husband to his wife of thirty + years and dad to his two girls, and a much loved dog. His life has consistently revolved around his faith, family, friends, and music.
