Welcome to the Library Programs page
A relatively recent addition to my performing repertoire, I was recently invited to perform at a library and discovered I loved it! I began contacting libraries and discovered a community eager to embrace my programs.
In a recent survey of library directors that have hosted a performance, all responders rated the performance the highest grade of "excellent", would recommend the program, and will definitely, or quite likely, be booking again. Commenters lauded "the history and background information about the music and musicians", "how you engaged the audience and had a story to tell about all the songs. Also enjoyed the genre of songs you used to reach out to all ages". "Music, humor, informative, interesting". "The music was engaging to all ages". One librarian put it this way, "Rich puts on a great show, with information you didn't know, and plays a terrific set of tunes for all to enjoy. Family friendly too!".
My program "The Songs and their Stories" combines great songs with history, anecdotes, and humor related to the music. Below is a distillation of the email I've been sending to libraries.
Allow me to ask you a few fun questions.
What great song was composed by a musician truant from a business meeting?
What song is tops of the town down yonder in New Orleans?
What song landed it’s creator the job of composing music for perhaps the most beloved animated television series of all time?
Those are just some of the questions that might get answered at a Rich Araldi Music “The Songs and their Stories” concert.
This is a program I’ve put together specifically for libraries. Family friendly and interactive we cover a wide range of music and topics catered to your audience.
Here is a link to a short (5 minute) composite video from a recent library concert that will answer the above questions and give you an idea of the fun we’re having! https://youtu.be/8y6uUX6sCoI

So how about this one? What legendary musician was quietly pivotal to the early civil rights movement (not just once, but multiple times)?
Sorry, you’ll have to come to my concert for that one! (Ok, if you email me and ask, I’ll tell you!)
I look forward to hearing from you!

What some people are saying:
"Man, you’ve got some serious chops."
"If you are in the area again, I will definitely come to hear you play."
"Thank you for reminding me of, and introducing my children to, fantastic music!"
